Ingredients
1
cup
rolled oats
1.5
cups
almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
1
medium
apple, peeled and diced
1
tablespoon
maple syrup
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
0.5
teaspoon
nutmeg
2
tablespoons
chia seeds
0.25
cup
walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)
1
pinch
salt
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well blended.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.
Gently fold in the diced apple and nuts (if using).
Divide the mixture into individual jars or containers with lids, ensuring they're tightly sealed.
Refrigerate overnight (or at least 4-6 hours) to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and soften.
In the morning, give the oats a good stir and adjust the consistency with a splash of milk if desired.
Top with additional apple slices, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a drizzle of maple syrup before serving for extra flavor.
Notes
Serve in clear jars or bowls to showcase the layers, and garnish with fresh apple slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for a delightful look.
