1cupall-purpose flour
2largeeggs, beaten
1cuppanko breadcrumbs
1teaspooncinnamon
1teaspoonsugar
½teaspoonsalt
as neededspraycooking spray
Instructions
Begin by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with cinnamon, sugar, and salt.
Dip each apple fry first into the flour, ensuring it’s coated, then shake off any excess.
Next, dip the floured apple into the beaten eggs, letting any surplus drip off.
Finally, coat the apple fry in the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.
Place the coated apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray for crispiness.
Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Once done, remove from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
Notes
Serve warm with powdered sugar and caramel or chocolate sauce for dipping.
