4 boneless chicken breasts

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.

      Layer Ingredients: In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on top. Pour the remaining marinara sauce evenly over the chicken pieces.

        Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the marinara sauce, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.

          Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

            Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
