Instructions
Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Italian herbs.
Melt the Butter: In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium heat.
Sear the Chicken: Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
Add Lemon Juice and Zest: Stir in the lemon juice and zest, then return the chicken to the skillet. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the chicken, allowing it to soak in for about 1-2 minutes.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top.
Notes
Serve on a bed of rice or with roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
