Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, grated ginger, and olive oil until smooth and well combined.
Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure each fillet is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 2 hours for best flavor.
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Bake the Salmon: Line a baking dish with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Arrange the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down in the dish. Drizzle any leftover marinade over the top of the fish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, depending on thickness, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Broil for Glaze (Optional): For a caramelized finish, switch the oven to broil for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Serve: Once done, remove the salmon from the oven. Let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve the glazed salmon on plates, drizzled with any remaining sauce from the baking dish.
Garnish: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for added flavor and a pop of color.
