Instructions
In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Mix well, and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
In serving bowls, layer the cooked rice as the base.
Spoon the Korean ground beef mixture over the rice.
Top with shredded carrots, steamed broccoli, and chopped green onions.
Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Adjust the red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
