Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 large onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 cup heavy cream

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Sear the Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Onions: In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are translucent. Add the minced garlic and continue cooking for another minute until fragrant.

Create the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme to the skillet. Stir well and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to combine the flavors.

Add the Cream: Lower the heat to medium-low, then stir in the heavy cream. Allow the mixture to thicken slightly, about 3-5 minutes.

Smother the Chops: Return the seared pork chops back to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Cover the skillet and let it simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pork chops are fully cooked and tender.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a burst of color. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the delicious sauce.
