to tasteWhipped cream (for topping, optional)
to tasteFresh strawberry slices (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and honey/agave syrup. Blend until smooth to create a strawberry puree. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water until fully dissolved and frothy. This can be done with a whisk or a milk frother.
In a saucepan, heat the milk of your choice over medium heat. Do not let it boil. If you prefer an iced version, skip this step and use cold milk instead.
Once the milk is warm, if you desire, use a frother to froth the milk until it's light and fluffy.
In a glass, layer the strawberry puree at the bottom.
Pour the frothed milk over the strawberry layer gently to keep the layers distinct.
Gradually pour the matcha over the milk, allowing it to float on top for a beautiful layered effect.
If desired, top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh strawberry slices.
Serve immediately with a straw to swirl the layers together as you drink, or give the latte a gentle stir if you prefer a mixed flavor.
Notes
Adjust sweetness to taste and feel free to use any milk of your choice.
